Perinatal & Postpartum Therapy
The process of entering parenthood is ground shaking and full of complexity. I work with those who are dreaming of becoming a parent, struggling with the process of becoming a parent, grieving losses, and those who are postpartum. No matter where you are on your parenting journey, I’d be honored to join you.
Parents (birthing and non-birthing) need care throughout various phases of this experience. I strive to create a secure and warm space where parents can feel grounded in the middle of constant change, shifting expectations, and grappling with becoming a primary caregiver.
Many parents wait to process these experiences in retrospect. Sometimes we don’t realize that we struggled with post partum anxiety, depression, or OCD until time has passed. The increased dialogue in the public sphere regarding maternal mental health may have shed light on your experiences. So, if you are years or decades into your postpartum life, it’s not too late. After all, you are now and forever postpartum.
Struggles often brought to perinatal therapy:
pregnancy, fertility, miscarriage, TFMR, still birth, infant loss, birth trauma, NICU experiences, postpartum anxiety (including intrusive thoughts), relationship distress, parenting support, family conflict, and more.
